Case Overview:
A woman presented with a large fibroid, 16.9 x 9.9 x 13.7 cm, involving the uterine fundus and body anteriorly. To remove the fibroid, they had to perform a total abdominal hysterectomy and salpingectomy, leaving the ovaries intact. With the size and location of the fibroid, it was not possible to perform a myomectomy to remove the fibroid. The jury found in favor of the defense.
