Case Overview:

This case involved a spinal cord stimulator that became infected. The stimulator was removed and a scar was left at the site. During a scar revision they claimed to find a piece of the simulator still attached to the spine and the plaintiff claimed that it caused delay in wound closure. The scar revisions surgery was very superficial and the defense believed that they would not have been able to see what the claimed was part of the stimulator because it would have been implanted much deeper than what they could see during that procedure. The jury found in favor of the defense.
