Case Overview:

This case involved a woman with a history of HPV disease. She had had previous gynecological treatments such as a LEEP procedure and a thermal balloon endometrial ablation. She developed a large intramural fibroid and underwent uterine artery embolization. Unfortunately the fibroid turned out to be a uterine leiomyosarcoma and there was a claim of delay in diagnosis of the cancer. The jury found in favor of the defense.
